About Us

The purpose of the Scott McBrien Passing Academy (SMPA) is to create a fun atmosphere for players to learn and understand the game of football from the offensive side of the ball. The goal is to learn the fundamentals, techniques, skills, motivation, and sportsmanship necessary to succeed at the individual offensive skilled positions. Not only will the player learn how to succeed in their offensive play but they will also learn how to read and dissect the strengths and weaknesses of defensive coverage.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Because space is limited, cancellations deprive other players of the opportunity to attend SMPA. If a cancellation is necessary, you must cancel at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the session for which you are registered. Cancellations that occur 30 days in advance will allow you a total refund. Cancellations less than 30 days before camp begins may be considered due to medical reasons on a case by case basis with the understanding that a Doctors note will be required.

The deadline to register is a week before the session desired.

All checks returned NSF will be assessed a $30 fee.

Medical Information

CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN MEDICAL INSURANCE (AS PRIMARY COVERAGE) TO ATTEND THIS CAMP!

Campers who fail to provide proof of coverage will not be allowed to participate. Simply fill out the requested information regarding insurance carrier, policy or group number, and I.D.

You do NOT have to have a physical prior to attending camp. You DO have to have your parents or legal guardian sign and submit the waiver/release from liability statement (included with application). Certified athletic trainers are in attendance at every practice to ensure the health and safety of all of our campers. Local hospitals can treat any emergency.

All campers must bring a SMPA Medical Release Waiver to their first session.

NCAA MANUAL – 13.13.1.5.1

NCAA MANUAL – 13.13.1.5.1 GENERAL RULE states that camps are not allowed to give free or reduced admission (tuition) privileges to a high-school prospect. Please be aware that any checks that are returned NSF (non-sufficient funds) and are not rectified immediately would automatically fall under this category and thereby jeopardize the camper’s prospects for a college scholarship. The SMPA is obligated to report any NCAA violations or face the consequences of committing a NCAA violation itself. A violation of these rules will prevent the recipient from ever participating in inter-collegiate sports at any level.
